Why choose natural skincare and perfume?
Our skincare products, including our perfumes, are free from chemicals, pesticides and harsh ingredients.
The long-term effects of using chemicals are hard to define, but more and more research show they can have a negative impact on our health and wellbeing. Most people today are exposed to more chemicals and pollutants than what is considered “safe levels”, and increasing numbers of people experience illness in their bodies due to exposure to environmental pollutants and harmful chemicals in their food and and hygiene products (cleaning products, skincare, cosmetics etc).
Our skin is extremely permeable, and what we apply to our skin is directly absorbed into the bloodstream. Therefore what we apply onto our bodies (in the form of skincare and cosmetics) is as important as what we put into the body (food, water).
Exposure to environmental toxins is accumulative. The more we are able to minimize the amounts we are exposed to, through the air we breathe, the food we eat, the water we drink and the products we use (to name a few) the better for our overall health. Generally speaking, natural and organic skincare products have a lesser impact on the environment and thus is kinder to the planet- and all its inhabitants.
Where are your products manufactured?
All our products are made and blended in Byron Bay Shire in New South Wales, Australia. Our ingredients are either wild harvested plants and flowers, or come from trusted suppliers. We purchase our essential oils only from the most trusted suppliers on the market, as unfortunately the essential industry today is quite polluted.
What is in your products?
All our products contain potent botanical extracts and high quality ingredients carefully selected for their properties. For instance, we wild harvest our own blue lotus flowers and rose petals. The essential oils and carrier oils in our products come from trusted suppliers. Most of our ingredients are certified organic, with the exception of a handful of our essential oils, as well as the wild harvested ingredients (as organic certification does not apply to these ingredients- though in reality they are BETTER). We use ethically and sustainably crafted ingredients, and do our best to minimize waste in each step of the way.
Are your products vegan?
Most of our products are vegan, with the exception of some of our botanical perfumes, as they contain honey, honeycomb and/or beeswax absolutes; essential oils distilled from bee products.
How long does my new product last?
Most of our products will last for several years, though we generally recommend using them within 12 months of opening.
Make sure to store your products fully closed with the cap on, and away from heat and direct sunlight.
How concentrated are you botanical perfumes?
Our perfumes contains at least 17% pure perfume oils to ensure a lasting scent that will stay with you, and on you, for hours.
Why is there sediment in my product?
Sediment in the product is completely natural and is caused by the natural plant compounds in your product. Our commitment to work with only natural materials means that we stay away from physical or chemical filtration which allows for the occasional emergence of sediment over time.
